The 230mm high Sandstone staddle stone, with a straight square shape and iron pin, may vary in colour and surface finish due to its natural composition. Originally used to elevate barns and granaries to prevent pest infiltration and moisture damage, these stones are now sought-after garden ornaments or functional stands for wooden posts.
